I currently have two partitions on mine HDD and also I to be planning on repartitioning my secondary partition to make room for a 3rd to use for Ubuntu. But when i attempt to install (with DVD & USB) I gain the adhering to message:

"This computer at this time has no detected operating systems"

This can be resolved using the gdisk utility. Usage the live version of Ubuntu then do the next:

sudo apt-get install gdisksudo fixparts /dev/sdathen push "w"

After doing the you should have the ability to install Ubuntu in the 3rd partition.
